Better than Paredes? £27m midfielder decides to snub Man United for Chelsea

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella has revealed he would prefer a move to Chelsea over Manchester United, this is according to reports

The 21-year-old star has left so many scouts in awe with his performance. He is currently a key figure for Cagliari’s midfield and he has attracted interest from the Premier League.

Inter Milan and Napoli have been lurking around his club to monitor his development and so are Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

However, Football.London via Gazzetta dello Sport, claims Chelsea tickles the fancy of the player for a transfer more than his other suitors. Maurizio Sarri and Gianfranco Zola are also said to be impressed with his development.

The Blues are currently in the market to sign a midfielder. They sold Cesc Fabregas to Monaco and failed in their bid to replace him with Leandro Paredes, who has opted to join Paris Saint Germain.

Dubbed as intelligent, promising, and composed a midfielder, Barella is adept at dribbling through defences. His ability to play as a box-to-box midfielder and find the right passes, makes him a perfect fit for Sarri-ball.

He is valued at £27.00m and may end up lacing his boots for Chelsea, maybe in the summer as Kovacic’s replacement.
