Blues offer could tempt Barcelona target to swap the San Siro for Stamford Bridge

Chelsea appear to be within touching distance of agreeing a deal for Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, according to a report.

Spanish publication, Sport, are claiming the Blues have put an offer on the table that is better than the one being offered by the La Liga giants.

The report also suggests Manchester City are able to match Chelsea’s offer, but the uncertainty over a ban from European competition gives Chelsea the edge.

However, it also claims that Barca are confident the Argentine would choose a move to the Camp Nou given the choice.

From an Inter point of view it will be about accepting the best offer, with Chelsea possibly triggering the strikers buyout clause.

The Daily Express claim the clause is set at £102m. The Blues have already confirmed the signing of Hakim Ziyech, and latest reports suggest Alex Telles is close to a move to West-London.

All of these rumours remain just speculation with the growing uncertainty regarding the return of the football season. The transfer window is also almost certain to be impacted by the delay of the coronavirus outbreak. Stay safe, stay home. Keep the Blue Flag Flying High.
