Blues superstar could still end up at real Madrid despite committing to Chelsea

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is in one of those positions where he might not exactly be clear in his mind what to do next in his career, particularly as he struggles to find his feet at Chelsea while other clubs remain interested.

But one of those clubs certainly is not Real Madrid who sold him to Chelsea just last summer. The former Los Blancos forward is reportedly considering returning to Real Madrid just a few days after he publicly said he never wished to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, which makes the report from Spain almost ludicrous.

Alfredo Duro, via Sport Witness, says Morata is open to returning to the Santiago Bernabeu although the La Liga side do not have him at the top of their list of forwards they wish to sign.

It is also very unlikely Chelsea will sell Morata at this stage in the transfer window, with only Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud remaining as Chelsea strikers after Michy Batshuayi was loaned out to Valencia.

It was only a few days ago, Morata made bold claims he never considered leaving Chelsea this summer amid interest from Spain and Italy.

“There was never a thought for me to leave. For me, it’s easy. I could have gone back to Spain or Italy, all the people believe in me there but I want to change all the things here. I want to, not for all the haters, but for me and for Chelsea.

I am looking forward to buying a house and I can’t wait for the babies to grow up to put them into school. I am very happy and it’s just the beginning of the new season. Why would I not be happy? I want to change all the thinking from the people who say I’m not.”
