Chelsea still in danger of losing £300,000-a-week World Cup winner

Inter Milan are reportedly determined to land Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante next summer, with La Liga giants Real Madrid also keen.

Canal states Inter boss Antonio Conte is poised to be reunited with the France international after bringing him to the Blues back in 2016.

The pair won the PL title together that season and added the FA Cup three years ago before Conte was sacked.

N’Golo struggled to replicate that same star-studded form after being used in a more attacking position under successor Maurizio Sarri.

He then suffered a couple of injuries in Frank Lampard’s debut season but N’Golo looks to be back to his best after being deployed at the base of a midfield three this season.

He has played in all eight of Chelsea’s league matches, as well as all three UEFA Champions League matches.

And the former Leicester man impressed once again as the Blues cruised to a 4-1 win against Sheffield United on Saturday.

Despite signing the likes of Nicolo Barella and Arturo Vidal during his time at Inter, Conte is apparently convinced N’Golo is the man who will transform his outfit into Serie A winners.

It is said he attempted and failed to land the 29-year-old French World Cup winner in the last transfer market.

Kante is not the only Chelsea player in Antonio’s sights, with Olivier Giroud, Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso also reported targets. Spanish champions Real Madrid are also understood to be interested in securing the services of the box-to-box midfielder.
