A handful of Chelsea fans are eager for the club to re-sign former academy star Jeremie Boga after it was revealed that the Blues have an option to bring the youngster back to the Premier League next summer.

Sassuolo president Giovanni Carnevali revealed via Goal that Chelsea inserted a buyback clause in Boga’s deal to the Serie A side, and Frank Lampard could exercise that option in the summer transfer window.
The former France youth international has been in impressive form for the Italian club this season, with the winger scoring three and assisting a further six in all competitions (per Transfermarkt).
Boga came through the Chelsea academy as a youngster, but like most prospects at the club in recent years before the arrival of Lampard, the Ivory Coast international hardly featured for the Blues first team (per Transfermarkt).
After numerous loan moves, the versatile winger was permanently sold to Sassuolo in 2018.
With the futures of Willian and Pedro currently under threat at Chelsea (per The Daily Star), a return for Boga could be on the cards as a quick fix to replace the two wingers should either of them leave west London in the summer – something that a few Blues fans on social media are eager to see.
