Great News! Chelsea key man return to full fitness after knee injury

Chelsea best defender at this moment Antonio Rudiger has completed another 90 minutes with the Blues Under-23 side as he continues to recover from his long knee injury.

After sustaining the issue during the closing weeks of last campaign, German centre-back spent the summer going through a rehabilitation programme to put himself in a position playing first-team football as soon as possible.

While he has been training with the rest of the team throughout August, the Blues head-coach Frank Lampard has opted not to rush back the former AS Roma star given the lack of numbers in the centre of defence.

However, the 26-year-old defender appears in line to be back in contention after the international break having completed a second-string game against Tottenham Hotspur on Friday night.

The outing against the North London club follows an appearance against Liverpool at the same level earlier this month, which should aid German defenders hopes of being available for the trip to Wolves after the end of the international break.

Meanwhile, Chelsea talented winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to sign a new deal with the Blues worth £200,000 per week, according to reports.

The 18-year-old has less than a year left on his current contract and could depart for a nominal compensation fee next summer if the two parties fail to reach an agreement.

Bayern Munich have already had multiple offers tuned down for Hudson-Odoi, while the England international wanted to depart in January due to his lack of first-team football at Stamford Bridge.
