“He wants to come” – 24-year old star desperate to join Chelsea

According to reports, Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly keen on a move to Chelsea with Blues boss Frank Lampard potentially in the summer transfer market for a new shot stopper.

The most expensive goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has made a number of high profile errors in his two campaigns at Stamford Bridge and is under pressure. The Spaniard was dropped earlier this season with Chelsea proving to be leaky at the back this campaign.

Frank Lampard recently said of Kepa: “He’s big for us. He’s huge. Confidence is huge when you’re in that individual position. He and his teammates should be boosted by that.

“Top teams need goalkeepers making big saves at big times and he did that today.”

Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Onana, who has impressed for Dutch giants Ajax in recent years. And the Athletic claims that the Cameroon international is attracted by the idea of joining Lampard’s squad.

Though the 24-year-old isn’t the only goalkeeper on Lampard’s radar with Dean Henderson also admired by the Chelsea boss.

However, Henderson has impressed this season on loan at Sheffield United from Manchester United and his future remains unclear.
