Mount reveals how Chelsea squad celebrated Pulisic’s hat-trick against Burnley

Mason Mount has spoken to BBC about the celebrations after the recent Burnley game, where Christian Pulisic scored a hat-trick.

It turns out, Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris had a special treat planned for Christian.

Mount said: “When we went to the airport, on the bus, the first thing was our assistant, Jody Morris, putting the American national anthem on. Everyone sat down and it was the first thing everybody heard!”

This gesture for sure only added emotions for Pulisic on the night.

“It’s incredible, honestly I can’t believe it,” Christian said after Burnley game.

“It’s actually my first professional hat-trick so I nearly forgot the match ball, luckily my team-mates helped me out! These guys are so fun to play with. We have so much energy. Some of the more experienced guys also bring a really nice touch to the team!”

What a night it was!
