Mount shares his emotions after scoring first goal at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has shared his emotions after the Blues drew with Leicester at the home ground.

It was the first official game at Stamford Bridge for the 20-year-old, and he celebrated it with his first goal for the boyhood club just seven minutes into the game.

“Coming through the academy and being at the club since the age of six, it’s what you dream of – playing your first home game, scoring your first goal and they both came on the same day for me so I was lucky.

But we look at the result and we’re disappointed that we didn’t get the win.

“Personally, I want to score goals and get assists and have an affect on the game so it is positive for me, but as a team, we look at our performance overall and there are things we need to work on.”
