RB Leipzig boss reveals why he’s not happy with Timo Werner heading to Chelsea

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is on the verge of joining Chelsea after reportedly agreeing a five year contract with wages of £200,000 a week.

RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has revealed he isn’t happy with Werner’s Chelsea transfer as it will be difficult to replace his goals.

“You can’t clone a player,” Nagelsmann told Spox.

“If Timo Werner were to leave us, the main thing would be to replace 34 goals.

“That would be the main task, which perhaps could not be solved by just one player.

“It is important that we get the same output at the end of the day, that is the complex thing about the topic.” Werner has scored 31 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig this season.
