Ross Barkley explains why he got rid of his Everton tattoos

Barkley made a professional debut for Everton and had a tattoo with the date of it on the left arm

Now he got it removed as he is a Chelsea player

He admits his mum was right that he rushed into making a tattoo when he was 16 years old

Ross feels more mature now at the Blues
Chelsea midfielder revealed that he deemed it a mistake to make a tattoo with the date of his Everton debut.

When Barkley was 16 years old he made a sleeve on his left arm commemorating his Toffees debut, but now he got it removed.

The Blues player explains how that was a rushed decision and now he feels like a mature person:

“I was very young when I got my tattoos. I was 16 when I got my full sleeve – I rushed into it. Over the years I didn’t really like having them.

“My mum told me at the time she wasn’t sure about me getting them and that I rushed into them – and she still says that to this day. I’ve been getting them removed over the last couple of years.

“I’ll be 25 in a couple of weeks. I feel like I’ve matured over the last couple of years, dealing with injuries and moving to Chelsea. I’ve had to push myself and I’ve really matured.”
