Tammy Abraham sends massive message to Frank Lampard after Burnley win

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham scored his 13th league goal of the season as the Blues beat Burnley 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Reece James was on fire against the Clarets and consistently put in a lot of crosses into the box, of which Tammy Abraham benefited from to score Chelsea’s second goal.

Abraham indeed should have at least bagged a brace in that game but scored only one, and he has hailed Reece James for his performance, while also revealing that he has an understanding with the young Chelsea right-back.

“He was fantastic, our man of the match against Burnley,” the Chelsea striker said of Reece James. “He defended well, attacked well and I could have scored another from one of his crosses.

“I always know where he’s putting the ball because we talk about it in training and every day in the changing room he sits beside me. I’m sure he’ll be a bit mad that I didn’t get him more assists but I’ve just got to be in the right places at the right time.

“I believe in him and the players believe in him as well. As long as he keeps performing, he’ll be knocking on the door of Gareth Southgate.” Meanwhile, Cesar Azpilicueta also assisted Callum Hudson-Odoi for the third goal with a fine cross from the left.

Do you think Frank Lampard should continue to play James as a right-back and Azpilicueta in the left-back position?
