The 19-year-old England international, who left Manchester City to join the Bundesliga outfit in 2017, emerged as a top summer target for Chelsea, but Dortmund refused to sell and United were not prepared to pay such a big amount for the youngster.
The lad is a creative force and was one of the top assist players in Europe last season, and considering Chelsea are in need of adding some much needed excitement, goals and creativity on the wings, the lad is growing into their perfect signing.
And ahead of the summer transfer window, the young man is showing just why Chelsea are so keen to try and secure a deal early in the transfer window., as teenagers Erling Braut Haaland and Sancho both made Bundesliga history as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Union Berlin 5-0.
Haaland netted in the win to become the first player to score seven goals in his opening three Bundesliga games, with Sancho also getting on the scoresheet, becoming the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach 25 goals.
Despite only signing from Red Bull Salzburg in January, Haaland is already the joint 10th top scorer in the league, while Sancho has only failed to score once in Dortmund’s last nine league games, as The England international has scored 12 goals and contributed 13 assists in 18 games this season. Sancho is one of the best and brightest talents in the game, and he would certainly add something different to both attacks if he leaves Dortmund in the coming windows. So it would be interesting to see just who he would sign for.
CHELSEA have the money and power to sign the young man up if they really want, and considering Frank Lampard is a massive fan of the lad, the Blues will surely submit an offer.
He could be a fantastic signing for the club, even at that £100 million that has been placed on his head.
