Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata insists there’s no truth in reports linking him with a summer move to Juventus.
The Spaniard has been spotted in Italy over the weekend and reports suggested that he was in talks with his ex-team Juventus after just one year at Stamford Bridge where he has managed to score only 15-goals in all competition.
Chelsea have made Morata their record signing when he left the Los Blancos in a £58m deal back in 2017, however, Morata struggled during his debut season in west London team, and he’ll be further maligned if Conte leaves Stamford Bridge.
Morata is believed to be considering his future with Chelsea. However, he has quashed reports he’s in talks with Serie A champions Juventus and claims his trip to Turin was a personal one.
‘We’re here to attend a birthday party,’ Morata told SportMediaset. ‘Right now I don’t know anything about my future. Right now I’m just thinking about my holidays.’
Morata’s future depends on whether Chelsea sack Conte.
The Italian had been expected to leave the Stamford Bridge to make way for Maurizio Sarri, however, the Blues have gone cold on the Napoli boss in recent days and their no.2 option has been former PSG boss Laurent Blanc.
