The incessant press media speculations of Eden Hazard’s proposed move to Real Madrid has been reverberating around the world. The sound bites have been deafening and that has brought fear upon many Chelsea supporters. There’s no reason to fault the Belgian for desiring a move to Madrid. The Ronaldo-size hole at the ‘world’s best’ club can only be filled by a superstar player in Hazard mould. So it is unerring for Chelsea’s N0.10 to feel that the shirt of Real Madrid is special. But the positive thing about his desire to join the Spanish giants is that he has acknowledged that is all down to the club to decide his fate and that the blue of Chelsea suits him.
Here are 3 reasons why I feel Hazard should remain at the club:
SPECIAL VIP TREATMENT AT CHELSEA:
Hazard’s six years so far at Chelsea has seen him become Chelsea’s most valuable player. Currently, his status as the club’s top earner is a testament to the fact that he is highly valued at the club and will hardly have another player share the same level of treatment. But at Madrid, the famed Galactico style means he might be the most valuable or key player. With the likes of Gareth Bale, rising star Marco Asensio, Word Cup Golden Ball winner Lucas Modric, Sergio Ramos and even the entire team at Los Blancos, staying at Chelsea and becoming a legend might just be the best option for the mercurial player.
TEAM BUILT AROUND HIM:
With several players at Real Madrid clamouring to be top dog since Ronaldo’s move to Juventus, it is likely the competition might be prolonged based on performances and influence. With Gareth Bale, Isco, Asensio and even youngster, Vinicius Junoir all looking to make their mark, it promises to be a hard challenge for Hazard to be the top dog. But at Chelsea, the team will easily be built around him as he maintains his top dog status and enjoy special fame and support.
THE FANS LOVE HIM:
In 2005, after Liverpool’s Champions league win over AC Milan, Reds Captain, Steven Gerrard was to make a £32m summer move to Chelsea. But at the last minute, the deal broke off, why? Because the Liverpool fans played a part. The affection and love showed to Gerrard made him change his mind. In the same vein, Hazard needs to realise that he is loved and adored by the Chelsea faithful, the affection and love he might not get in the same manner at Madrid.
Let’s hope for the best. Cheers!
