Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma has emerged as a summer target for Serie A side Fiorentina, according to reports in Italian media.
Local Florence newspaper La Nazione, as quoted on Inside Futbol, claim that a long-term loan deal could be on the cards with the Italian club looking to bolster defensive options in the summer.
Zouma spent the previous season on loan at Stoke in an effort to find the regular senior-team football, but Kurt was unable to them avoid relegation to the second rank of English football.
With Italian manager Maurizio Sarri reportedly in line to substitute Antonio Conte this summer, there will be yet more upheaval at Stamford Bridge, meaning playing time is far from guaranteed for the returning players.
After falling out of the photo with the French national team, Kurt will be keen to be playing frequently when the new season kicks off, be that at the Blues or elsewhere.
Kurt remains highly thought of at the west London club, where he was a regular under Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho before a long-term knee injury saw him fall out of favour.
