£70M Brazilian defender who loves Thiago Silva tells Chelsea he wants big move after impressive season

Thiago Silva’s admirer Murillo has acknowledged that Chelsea is interested in him and has even hinted that he moved to Nottingham Forest as a stepping stone.

The Brazilian had a strong debut season at the City Ground, and according to UOL, the Blues made initial contact with Forest. The £50.7 million asking price, though, is reportedly too much for them.

In order to avoid breaking the Financial Fair Play Rules, which are catching a lot of clubs off guard, CHELSEA will be looking to significantly reduce their asking price over the coming months.

Now – amid all the speculation and all the rumours – Murillo has indicated that he would be open to leaving Forest after just one season: “I don’t know if it’s £70m, but I know there was a buzz of interest,” the 21-year-old defender said on the Benja Me Mucho podcast. “So, I don’t know exactly how much the amount is, but I know there was interest.

“I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I had that thought. I thought: ‘I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year and then I’ll go to a big club’. I had that in my head.
