8:30am: Blues open talks to sign 22-years-old star as Raheem Sterling replacement as Player spotted in London to complete Chelsea medical

Renato Veiga, a 20-year-old Portuguese prodigy, was supposedly signed by Chelsea from FC Basel in Switzerland.

Renato Veiga from FC Basel is now expected to be signed by Chelsea after a deal was finalized between the two teams last week.

The player is already in London and is scheduled to have his physical with the Blues later today, according to the Portuguese tabloid O Jogo.

Sporting is monitoring this agreement because it benefits them, even if Veiga is no longer a player for Sporting.

Sporting held onto 10% of Veiga’s prospective transfer fee when they sold him to Basel for €4.6 million last summer. Now that he’s moved to Chelsea, they will receive €1.5 million.

Veiga has made 36 senior appearances so far in his career, 13 for Augsburg in the Bundesliga 2022/23 season and a further 23 for Basel last term. He scored two goals and made an assist in the Swiss league last season.

Chelsea Open Talks to Sign Borussia Dortmund Star

Chelsea have reportedly initiated discussions to secure the signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi, following his impressive performances in the past season.

The 22-year-old, who netted five goals for Dortmund, started on the left wing during their recent Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

According to sources from Germany, particularly Bild, Adeyemi’s displays have captured the attention of Chelsea’s scouting team, prompting the club to make initial contact with the player’s representatives about a potential transfer to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea are now planning to engage in direct negotiations with Borussia Dortmund.

However, Chelsea are not alone in their pursuit; Juventus are also vying for Adeyemi’s signature, which could spark a bidding war.

Dortmund, aware of the growing interest and have reportedly set a price tag of €30 million (£25.3 million) for the young winger.
