Boca Juniors and Chelsea have come to an agreement for Aaron Anselmino to join.

In exchange for the 19-year-old, who has only made 10 first-team appearances for Boca, Chelsea has agreed to a deal worth £14.1 million plus an additional £3.1 million in add-ons.

Before joining Chelsea, the teenage defender will spend one more year out on loan in Argentina.

Boca Juniors was eager for Anselmino to remain with them for at least another year, according to TyC Sports, and Chelsea has now granted the Argentine club’s request to keep him on loan until the summer of 2024.

According to the report, Chelsea do have a break clause as part of that agreement which allows them to bring Anselmino to the Premier League after six months.

Anselmino will become Chelsea’s fifth signing of the summer window after the signings of Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Barcelona have told the likes of Chelsea that they want in excess of €100 million (£84.6m) for Ronald Araujo

Maresca is the man that the Chelsea board feel can take the club forward after Mauricio Pochettino failed to impress as coach of the club last season – and the Italian will be backed in the transfer window.

Araujo has been a player that has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the last few seasons and he could once again be on the transfer market if Barcelona make a decision on his future.

While the centre-back has been linked with a move away – the 25-year-old has repeatedly stressed his desire to stay at the Catalan outfit.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are standing firm over Araujo’s availability and will not consider selling the 25-year-old unless they receive a transfer fee above €100m (£84.6m).

The report claims that Chelsea, United and Bayern Munich, who tried to sign Araujo in the January transfer window, have all made approaches for the defender.
