Reports claimed Frank Lampard has ordered Chelsea to make a move for Arsenal target Hakim Ziyech.
There has been alot speculation that Mikel Arteta is seeking to spend a big amount of money and bring in a few more players by the end of the transfer window, with Ziyech a name that has been mentioned as a possible arrival at the Emirates.
The 26-year-old was one of the standout stars of Ajax’s squad last season, weighing in with 21 goals and 24 assists in 49 games from a wide midfield position as he helped Ajax clinch their first League title in five years while also reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Gunners were heavily linked with a move for the winger during the summer window, but the Arsenal made the decision to make a move and bring Nicolas Pepe to the club in a deal worth £72 million, but despite some glimpses of his talent, he has not yet lived upto expectations.
But amid speculation that Arsenal are lining up another move for Ziyech, The ESPN website has claimed that Lampard has told Chelsea that he would like to sign the Ajax winger at the end of the season, as he looks to splash some cash.
The Blues have some very exciting youngsters in the squad at the moment, but Frank Lampard seems to be having real issues getting some end product from the likes of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi, and it is believed that he wants to add something different to his attack in the summer.
Look, we all knows that Chelsea will look to spend some serious money at the end of the season if they fail to acquire a few new players this transfer window and spending £43 million on Ziyech could be a good move.
The winger is skillfull, creative and speedy but he also has the ability to find the back of the net on a regular basis and considering Arsenal will take their time deciding whether or not to make a move,Chelsea could get a deal done real early if they wanted.
