The Blues were one of the few Premier League clubs who remained inactive in the January transfer window in terms of bringing players in.
But there was a ‘new face’ who appeared at the club yesterday in the shape of loanee Danilo Pantic.
However, The 23-year old has had his season long loan deal at MOL Fehérvár FC cut short after their new manager Joan Carrillo decided that he doesn’t rate the former Serbian under-21 international, as reported by WAGNH.
The midfielder’s future is now in limbo with the majority of the European transfer windows closing yesterday, and he is highly unlikely to be involved at Chelsea.
The silver lining is that there is a week or so left in some of the other windows in Europe such as Austria, Croatia, Romania, Switzerland, Argentina, Russia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic, so he could go back out on loan.
Pantic has been at Chelsea since joining from Partizan in 2015, but he has never made a senior appearance at the club.
He has 18 months left on his current Chelsea deal.
