It was a frustrating January transfer window for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and the Blues fans who would have loved to see the side strengthened this window, as the Chelsea team are currently in need of something new to the side.
Chelsea’s early season’s steam has since dropped, and the Blues are just managing to get through most games at this point.
Chelsea were unable to strengthen the side during the summer transfer window, and with the ban lifted, many thought the team would get some signings to bolster the squad this January.
Former Southampton and England striker Matt Le Tissier has questioned the need for the transfer ban that was lifted.
He told Sky Sports: “What was the point of that [getting the transfer ban lifted]? What really was the point?
“You could tell Frank was disappointed. He wanted to bring in players and it wasn’t done.
“Having gone to all that trouble, you would have thought they would have done at least one transfer.”
