Fresh reports in the media have claimed Chelsea have begun negotiations with Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho over a summer switch.
There has been some big speculation in the media over the past few days which have suggested that Chelsea are closing in on a £77 million deal for the former Liverpool man, as he is not wanted back at Barcelona in the summer and will be sold on.
RECENT REPORTS HAVE SUGGESTED CHELSEA HAVE OPENED TALKS WITH COUTINHO, who has struggled to reach the kind of form which made him one of the best players in the game during his time with Liverpool, meaning that he will be on the transfer market during the summer window
Chelsea reportedly lead the chase, especially as there is talk that Brazilian Willian could be leaving the club, and now reports on the SUN have claimed that Chelsea are ready to capitalise on Bayern Munich’s disinterest in signing Coutinho on a permanent deal following his season-long loan move to the Allianz Arena.
The same report claims the Blues have contacted Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian about signing the Brazilian midfielder from Barcelona in the summer, with speculation suggesting that a fee of around £77 million will be enough to conclude this transfer deal.
Look, If Coutinho is on the transfer market during the summer window, then Chelsea would be fools to not make a move for the man, as he is a creative genius that can win games in the blink of an eye.
He has been impressive at times at Bayern this summer and it is a shock to see that they do not want to keep him, but he would be more than welcome back in the Premier League next season. Chelsea will indeed do alot of business, if the coronavirus does not stop any deal, and it could be an exciting summer for the fans.
