Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen on negotiating a pre-contract with Willian, whose deal with Chelsea expires in less than three months’ time.
The Brazilian has been in a contract standoff with the Blues over the past year and he has recently admitted that the west London side have declined to meet his demands for a three-year deal.
According to AS, Les Parisiens are looking to take advantage of the situation and they are prepared to finalise a contract package with him ahead of a free transfer during the summer.
Willian has bagged 59 goals and 59 assists for the Blues during his six-and-a-half-seasons. He has made nearly 330 appearances for the club across all competitions.
The 31-year-old has recently stated that he would prefer to remain in the English top-flight but won’t necessarily rule out the prospect of joining an elite European club.
Willian’s current deal expires at the end of June but he is open to signing a short-term extension with the Blues in order to finish the remaining games of the season, which have been delayed due to the coronavirus shutdown.
