Chelsea have gotten off to a perfect start in the Premier League so they’ll be looking to carry their momentum into Europe.
The Blues will have one eye on the Premier League title and one eye on securing silverware in the Europa League this season, as Maurizio Sarri continues to work wonders.
However, Chelsea will travel to the Toumba Stadium to face PAOK in their first Europa League group stage match. The Greek side will be desperate to cause a massive upset against the Blues, so Sarri’s side will have to be at their best and can’t become complacent.
Antonio Conte was never really open to giving youth a chance, but Sarri looks set to hand a couple of youngsters some European game time in the future.
With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO youngsters that can ensure a Sarri masterstroke…
CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI
The 17-year-old established himself as one of the hottest prospects in the whole of world football during pre-season, but Sarri hasn’t really called upon the youngster since then.
However, he looks set to play a huge part in their push for silverware in Europe and will no doubt be included in today’s match against PAOK.
Indeed, the winger’s pace and skill will cause all sorts of problems as the Blues go searching for three points.
ETHAN AMPADU
The central defender looks to be quite the prospect and has already earned some first team action during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Sunderland did attempt to lure him away from the English capital in the form of a loan deal during the summer, but he has since signed a new deal and is staying put.
Indeed, the Welshman has been a hit on the international stage and will no doubt be considered on the European stage for the Blues, with his defensive positioning and ability to find a pass being second to none.
