Confirmed Chelsea lineup vs Aston Villa – Christensen starts

Chelsea face Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!

Frank Lampard needed to make changes, not only because of the tiny 48 hour turnaround since our last game, but also because of the poor performance we saw against Arsenal on Monday night.

Where possible, he’s changed things around, and the injuries some players are carrying has affected his lineup too.

Cesar Azpilicueta plays at right back to give Reece James a rest, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen play in the middle of defence. Jorginho comes in to play in central midfield with Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante.

The front three sees Callum Hudson-Odoi, as promised, but with Olivier Giroud leading the line. Christian Pulisic is risked on the other flank.

This is going to be a very tricky match, let’s hope this team can get it done.
