Official: Chelsea lineup vs Barnsley– as Tuchel makes several changes
Chelsea face Barnsley at Oakwell in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
Thomas Tuchel finally has a non-Premier League game in which to experiment a bit, and the boss has made major changes.
Kepa starts in goal for his first appearance under the German manager, but that’s where it gets complicated. It’s a little hard to work out the formation from there – is that Emerson in a back 3 with Christensen and Zouma, with Alonso at left wing back and Hudson-Odoi at right wing back? Or is it a back 4 with Emerson at right back?
Either way, Billy Gilmour is in the team alongside N’Golo Kante, and Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are playing in behind Tammy Abraham up front.
We’ll see how it shakes out on the pitch. There are a lot of motivated players in that team, looking to earn their place in the Premier League. Let’s see what they can do.
