Tuchel told target ‘will become complete midfielder’, as £400,000-a-week superstar opens door to stunning Chelsea move after latest statement
Long-term Chelsea Kylian Mbappe has cast doubt over his long-term future at Paris Saint-Germain after admitting he does not know if the club is the best place for him.
Mbappe is one of the most exciting players of his generation and a player that is expected to go on in the game and become the very best, taking that mantel from the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He is a player that is very much liked by Roman Abramovic and Chelsea have been linked with the Frenchman over the past few months, even though he would cost in excess of £200 million and demand roughly around the £400,000-a-weeek wages.
But even though he is happy at PSG right now, When asked about his future, the forward opened up and cast doubt about his long-term future with the French giants, he told France Football: “I don’t necessarily need to go fast. I have to make the right decision, which is difficult, and give myself every chance to make up my mind.
“I am in a place where I like myself, where I feel good. But is this the best place for me? I don’t have the answer yet. I know that a project with or without me is not quite the same for the club.
“But PSG understand my feelings. Probably also because they knows that I will not sneak. Being a great player also proves itself outside the field where you have to know how to do things cleanly and with class.”
Cesc Fabregas is confident Chelsea transfer target Aurelien Tchouameni can become the complete midfielder.
Tchouameni has quickly established himself at the heart of Monaco’s midfield and he has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the midfielder’s progress at Monaco and are looking to strengthen their midfield options in the summer
Thomas Tuchel is looking to add a bit more to that midfield of his and add his own stamp on the side, and is looking to also add another defender and striker to the squad ahead of next season.
And amid the speculation, Fabregas, who has been playing alongside Tchouameni at the heart of Monaco’s midfield, believes he is equipped to follow his in his footsteps and star in the Premier League.
‘He (Tchouameni) has the potential to be the complete midfielder,’ Fabregas wrote on Twitter. ‘Modern midfield player, but we need him still… sorry!’
Should Tchouameni sign for Chelsea, he would learn from the likes of the vastly experienced Jorginho, whom Fabregas singled out for praise after he starred in Italy’s Euro 2020 opening night win over Turkey in Rome
‘One of the biggest reasons why I left Chelsea was because of him,’ the Spaniard told Gary Lineker.
‘He is a very smart player, intelligent, a good passer of the ball.
‘The only thing that sometimes I could say about him is that he releases the ball too quickly when you can play the ball forward.
