Chelsea and Arsenal target Joao Felix has put pen to paper on a contract extension deal with Benfica, this is according to transfer.
The youngster joined the B team of Benfica in 2015 and he has broken into the first team of the side despite his age.
It was claimed earlier this year that the Gunners sent a scout to watch the star and it is believed that they have retained their interest in him.
The attacking midfielder is a regular feature for the Portugal u21s, where he has scored four goals in eight games.
He has continued to increase his stock with a series of impressive performances.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, the player has signed a new deal with the Primera Liga club in which his wages has been doubled from €60 million to €120 million.
Although Chelsea bolstered their squad in the summer, Felix is high up on the radar of Chelsea, as it is claimed that Sarri is a huge fan of the rising star.
Benfica have realised if they don’t sign him to a deal, they may not get the most from any possible deal to sell in sooner.
