It would seem Chelsea have won the race to sign Christian Pulisic ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Latest reports have confirmed that Chelsea have wrapped up the deal for a summer move for Pulisic with the announcement expected in January.
The USA international was subjected to lots of speculation with Dortmund’s sporting director Micheal Zorc confident of keeping him. “We have known these rumours for many years,” Zorc told Kicker. “We plan at least until the end of the season with him.”
However, the player who has been starved of chances in the new Dortmund team had potentially all but said he would move.
“England, the Premier League, is a League where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why maybe one day I won’t play here.”, Pulisic had said while speaking to the English Press.
“I’m still focused on Dortmund. We are doing great this season,” Pulisic had also told NBC Sports. “Once the break comes [in January], that is always when I will have to discuss with Dortmund and see about my future.”
Things have not improve since and it now seems he is set to leave Dortmund for England.
