Bayern Munich are reportedly determined to sign Chelsea’s youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi this January and will push hard for the 18-year-old star.
Maurizio Sarri has recently accused the Bundesliga side of ‘unprofessional’ behaviour. The German club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has previously admitted Der FCB ‘took great interest in signing’ the Englishman.
Arjen Robben, Chelsea’s former player and currently a winger for Bayern Munich who spends his last season at Allianz Arena urges Hudson-Odoi to join his club which have allegedly even guaranteed the youngster a number 10 shirt after the Dutchman’s departure:
“He is one of the best (young players) in Europe. You are better off getting your chance and if you get that chance then you have to take it. For young players, it’s always the same. First, you have to take the big step to achieve it. Become a professional football player at the highest level, get into the first team, get your place.”
“Then, second, which can be more important, what’s sometimes missing is that you have to stay there.
Staying there is often more difficult than actually becoming a footballer in the first place. You have to prove it, game after game, season after season and don’t be happy. Don’t just be happy when you achieve something little or small.”
It seems like the 34-year-old footballer hints at Hudson-Odoi’s lack of the playing time. Since the start of the season, the Englishman has spent only 42 minutes on the pitch in the Premier League. However, Maurizio Sarri has recently admitted the player was ready to compete in the Prem. Moreover, the manager considers him the level of Pedro and Willian.
