Ahead of the upcoming Premier League clash with Newcastle, Maurizio Sarri has opened up on the rumours about Barcelona’s interest in Willian. Apparently, the Spanish club wants to land the 30-year-old winger as the Blaugrana are ready to offer cash and Malcom as part of the deal.
However, seems like The Blues are reluctant to let the Brazilian off: according to The Telegraph, Chelsea have rejected Barca’s bid.
The boss states he doesn’t know anything about the La Liga side’s reported approach: “I didn’t receive anything yesterday. You have to ask the club, I have no idea. You have to ask the club about the market, if you ask me about the market, you put me in trouble.”
The Italian insists there is no chance of the winger joining Barca but admits the player can improve: “Willian is really very important for us but I think he can do better. His potential is higher.” He says it is “impossible to lose him in January.”
I’d be lying if I said I was shocked about Sarri’s comments on Willian, why?
Mourinho and Conte did the same whilst managing the club, I honestly do not get it anymore at this club, the board and sometimes the manager just really frustrate me. #CFC

Elaborating on the Brazilian’s weaknesses, the boss says: “Usually he wants the ball always at his feet, he can improve his movement off the ball and he has the potential to improve more.”
Willian turns 31 in August. He joined The Blues from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013. This season the player has featured in 31 games, scored four goals and registered five assists.
Would you accept Barca’s offer?
