Progressing well, final stage – As Chelsea in talks with World Cup winner
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are in advanced talks with World Cup winner N’Golo Kante over a new contract.
However, The 31-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, prompting reported interest from top European clubs including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Recent months have seen Kante move closer to extending his stay at Stamford Bridge, with negotiations having progressed over a new contract.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the talks are now in their ‘final stages’ with the last details needing to be resolved.
Romano tweeted: “N’Golo Kanté was back on the pitch for friendly game earlier this week… and the negotiations over new contract are still ongoing and progressing well to final stages.
“Discussions on last details as new deal could be valid for next two years plus one season club option.”
Kante is expected to sign a two-year deal until 2025, with Chelsea having an option to extend the contract for a further year.
