Chelsea ready to sell two key players in other to raise £100million

According to a report on GOAL, Chelsea are hoping to raise £100million in the summer by selling midfielders Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount. Their contracts expire next year and both players are yet to sign a contract extension with the Blues.

The Goal reports: “According to Football Insider, Chelsea are willing to let midfielders Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic leave Stamford Bridge in order to generate funds for the summer.

“The report adds that after spending heavily in January under new owner Todd Boehly, the club must offload certain players depart in the off-season to fund their recruitment drive going forward.

“It is understood that the west London outfit are hopeful of recouping £100m in transfer fees for the midfield duo, both of whom are out of contract in 2024.”
