Maurizio Sarri will not stop ex-Lille frontman Eden Hazard from leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to join reigning European champions Real Madrid and the attacker has reeled at the idea of playing for the La Liga big boys.
Hazard has sailed many notches higher this term under Maurizio Sarri than he did under former boss Antonio Conte.
The forward has racked a fine goal and assist tally–10 goals and 10 assists. Hazard has the potential to become one of the finest crops out of Chelsea, but he is insistent about dumping the side in the summer.
Sarri wants to hold on to Hazard, but Hazard has refused to pen down a new deal at the club.
Chelsea offered the Belgian captain who skippered his side to the final of the World Cup in Russia a deal north of 300,000-per-week, which should have seen the Belgium superstar become the highest earner.
Hazard has continued to stall talks of his contract and has remained mute over his future at Stamford Bridge, heaping more speculations he could swap the blue shirt for a white one at the end of the season.
While the likelihood of that happening is very high, Sarri will not stand in the way. He said,”Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go.
“Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope he wants to stay here.
“He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment.”
