£209M Chelsea star set to leave Stamford Bridge as Pochettino trim down his bloated squad
According to The Sun, Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is expected to lead an exodus of players this summer as incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino attempts to trim down his bloated squad.
The English tabloid claims that Pochettino wants to reduce the number of first-team players to around 24 or 25 before the next transfer window closes.
Mendy (who cost the Blues £22m) could be set for a surprise move to Tottenham, where he could replace Hugo Lloris in goal.
Christian Pulisic (£58m), Hakim Ziyech (£33m), Kalidou Koulibaly (£34m) and even Marc Cucurella (£62m) may also be sold if Chelsea receive good enough offers.
The futures of homegrown stars Mason Mount and Trevoh Chalobah remain in doubt too, with the former being pursued by the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal, while the latter is being monitored by Champions League finalists Inter Milan.
