Fourth Chelsea transfer of summer confirmed as player passes medical
Chelsea have already signed Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Diego Moreira this summer. Kendry Paez deal has also been completed but he will join Chelsea in 2025. The Blues are now on the verge of wrapping up the fourth signing of the summer as Everton left back Ishe Samuels-Smith is on course to sign for CFC.
According to Football Insider, Chelsea are set to sign Everton academy player Samuels-Smith as the Englishman has passed his medical. Samuels-Smith has agreed a three year deal with Chelsea, staying at Stamford Bridge till 2026. Everton are set to receive £4 million from CFC as Chelsea’s spending will hit the £88 million mark.
Documents are being finalized and a move is now imminent. The West London outfit managed to beat the competition from Manchester City to sign Samuels-Smith. The 17 year old has been an integral part of Everton youth sides.

He was named on the Everton first team bench on two occasions, during EFC’s Caraboa Cup fixture against Bournemouth and during Everton’s clash against Fulham in the Premier League. The highly rated teenager did not make his debut for the first team but has a very high ceiling. He has represented England at U-15, U-16 and U-17 levels and also being named in the team of the tournament at the UEFA U-17 European Championship.
CFC are building a strong foundation for the future with their recent transfers. The Blues have signed nine players under the age of 2021 since Todd Boehly bought the West London outfit. The likes of Andrey Santos, Cesare Casadei, Malo Gusto and David Datro Fofana are highly promising youngsters.
Paez and Moreira are latest young additions, although Paez will remain at Independiente until 2025. Samuels-Smith’s addition is an example of the Blues’ commitment to bringing in players for the future and develop them right from a young age in their professional career.
Most of these youngsters will be loaned out or play for the U21 side but Chelsea will be able to keep a close eye on them and provide them with the right environment for development. Although Samuels-Smith signing is not a big name transfer, Chelsea are working hard to get their targets. The Blues are also working behind the scenes to secure Moises Caicedo as negotiations with Brighton continue.
