€80m-rated star linked with Chelsea and Tottenham transfer buys house in London

Chelsea and Tottenham may want to take note of this Gareth Bale transfer news emerging from Spain today as the Real Madrid winger is claimed to have just purchased a house in London.

The Wales international has not had the best time at the Bernabeu in the last couple of seasons, save for his Champions League final heroics against Liverpool last season when he came off the bench and scored twice to decide the game.

That cameo showed what a world class performer Bale can still be, but it just hasn’t worked out as would have been expected for him at Real Madrid.

It is little surprise, therefore, to see that Don Balon claim his old club Tottenham are interested in having him back in north London.

Intriguingly, that report also states the 29-year-old has just bought a property in the UK capital, which suggests he may well see himself back there soon.

This is surely also going to be of interest to Chelsea fans, with Don Balon recently claiming the Blues were interested in Bale as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard in attack.

That kind of move could make a lot of sense for CFC right now, with the Daily Mirror among the outlets reporting today that Real are confident of signing Hazard for £100m this summer.

Don Balon, meanwhile, state that Los Blancos value Bale at just over €80m, or £70m, making him a perfectly affordable replacement for the west London giants.
