According to the recent report by the French newspaper Le10 Sport, N’Golo Kante’s relationship with Maurizio Sarri are far from being good.
As the source state, they are actually ‘not exceptional’ as the midfielder allegedly doesn’t enjoy his new role at the club under the Italian.
Moreover, that has given PSG enough encouragement to try to land the Frenchman in the summer as they reportedly consider Kante one of the main targets for the next transfer window. However, this might be a difficult task for the Ligue 1 side as the midfielder signed a new deal with The Blues in November.
Commenting on his new role under Maurizio Sarri, the Frenchman said in December:
“I like this position. The manager has given me the confidence to play this position since the beginning of the season. I am trying to do my best and I will get better at it, and I hope to have success in it this year
However, our former player and manager Ruud Gullit believes it’s Maurizio Sarri’s biggest mistake to not use the Frenchman as a defensive midfielder :
“Personally, I think Sarri’s biggest mistake was to buy Jorginho when he already had N’Golo Kante. They are a little bit different as players but both of them are holding midfielders. Kante is a World Cup winner and Jorginho is a player Sarri knows he can trust. He finds it difficult to choose between them, so he plays both.”
Has Kante adapted to his new role at Chelsea?
