‘Just can’t have a normal day’: Chelsea fans goes wild after another shocking announcement from the club
Chelsea announced today that there’s been an injury setback to both Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka.
This news has certainly not gone down well with the club’s fanbase.
The Blues have a desperately poor record when it comes to squad injuries during the past year, and the bad news continued to flood in this afternoon.
Chelsea confirmed via their official website on Wednesday that Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka have both suffered setbacks with their respective injuries. They will now both have further medical tests.
Chalobah, 24, is yet to make a single appearance this season due to injury. The centre-back’s absence is far from ideal due to other defensive injuries in other areas of the squad.
Incidentally, 90min recently claimed that Chalobah could be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan in the January transfer window.
As for Chukwuemeka, he must be extremely frustrated by this latest blow.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder started the season in good form for Mauricio Pochettino’s side before injury struck.
We’ll keep our fingers crossed for both that there’s nothing significant for either of them.
