Mikel Arteta discloses one Chelsea weakness at halftime that leads to 2-2 draw against Arsenal
Mikel Arteta has disclosed his boys were well aware of Chelsea’s weak area right from the start of the game but failed to take advantage earlier on. However, they were still able to nail it in the lost time.
With Cole Palmer netting the opening goal from the penalty spot for Chelsea, Mudryk came through with a jaw-dropping rocket to extend the home side’s lead.
The game was already late when Pochettino decided to employ fresh legs but Declan Rice’s consolation goal helped lay the ground for a lost time equalizer from Leandro Trossard.
Speaking after the game, Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta said of the game; “It was a very challenging game and that tells you how strong they have become.
“Although we saw their weakness in the goalposts, the keeper hasn’t had a great record lately and we all know of it so the boys knew what to do.
“Statistically he was very likely to conceded and all we had to do is send the hits over and over until it finally happens.
“It was a good game a good contest for both clubs and it’s very good of a test. We will focus on the Champions Leagye now because for now that’s what’s more important.”
