Enzo Fernandez and Christopher Nkunku back – Pochettino completely changes the system… Chelsea strongest XI when everyone is fit
WIth all the criticism that has headed the way of Mauricio Pochettino this season, it should be noted that he has not had things his own way since taking over at Chelsea.
The Argentine will feel as if he has never been able to choose the strongest XI at the club due to injuries that have plagued the club.
Pochettino has hinted that he would love to change his system slightly in order to get the best out of the Blues.
Here’s The Chelsea Chronicle’s strongest Chelsea side when everyone at the club is fit.
Chelsea strongest XI
Djordje Petrovic has proven to be the strongest of the two first team goalkeepers up to now, and he would definitely start in goal.
On the right of what would be a back three, Reece James picks up a less stressful role than his normal right-back position.
In the middle of defence, Axel Disasi would show that he is good enough to lead an inexperienced backline.
On the left of a three, Levi Colwill would finally get the chance to feature on the left of a back three, arguably his strongest position.
At right wing-back, the ever-impressive Malo Gusto would use his attacking skills to provide width down that side for the Blues.
On the opposite side, it would be Ben Chilwell, who is notably stronger going forward than he is at the back.
In the middle of the park, Enzo Fernandez would occupy one of the two roles that would have a lot of pressure on them in this system.
Alongside him, Moises Caicedo would continue to prove that he is actually one of the most important players in the side right now.
In attack, a fluid front three would be started by arguably Chelsea’s player of the season so far in Cole Palmer.
On the opposite side of attack, Christopher Nkunku would finally get the chance to prove why the club spent as much money as they did to make him the marquee addition for them this summer.
Down the middle, Nicolas Jackson would play an important role in bringing everyone together going forwards, whether he is scoring all the goals or not.
