“I can turn Chelsea around” “Give me the chance” – 50-years-old manager believes he can replace Pochettino at Chelsea

According to reports, one manager is considering taking over at Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino left the team.

Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea had a successful season finale.

They qualified for European football after winning their last five Premier League games.

The Blues’ sixth-place result will be sufficient to secure their spot in the Europa League for the upcoming season, provided Manchester City defeats Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

In spite of the foregoing, Chelsea announced on Tuesday that Pochettino and the team had agreed to part ways. The Argentine was rumored to have desired more control over transactions prior to his departure.

Who wants the Chelsea job?
Following Pochettino’s exit, it looks like a familiar face is keen on replacing the 52-year-old in the Stamford Bridge dugout.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel views Chelsea as a “concrete option” and feels he has unfinished business there.

Plettenberg has also claimed that there has already been “loose talks”.

Tuchel won Chelsea the Champions League during his time at the club but was sacked shortly after the Blues were taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Will Thomas Tuchel return to Chelsea?
As much as some Chelsea fans would probably love that, a Tuchel homecoming just seems highly unlikely.

The club’s current owners did not seem too keen on him and they appear to want a young manager at the helm.

The reliable Fabrizio Romano recently claimed on Substack that Chelsea would go for a young coach if they decided to part ways with Pochettino.

That has obviously now happened and while it seems like Tuchel is a name they could consider, the German is probably not high on their list.
