Mendes tells Chelsea to hire 49-year old man – ‘Defender ‘perfect signing’ for Chelsea – Agent confirms Chelsea wants star

Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton, according to former Chelsea player Pat Nevin, would be ideal for the team.

Despite having a contract with the Merseyside team that expires in 2027, Branthwaite is reportedly open to the prospect of leaving the Toffees, according to recent reports on the Evening Standard.

In order to avoid having to part with their No. 32, Everton is trying to earn money through other exits, though they are reportedly open to offers around £80 million.

After Thiago Silva’s departure, the London team may recruit a center-back to their roster this summer, forcing Everton to offload at least one star.

And amid all the speculation and rumours – Nevin has opened up and claimed that Branthwaite would be perfect for the club: “If I was looking for a young centre-back at an elite club in Europe, he would be top of my list,” Nevin told Prime Slots.

“He absolutely ticks every single box for Chelsea; they buy young players for big money, he’s tall, he dominates physically and is good in the air.

“He absolutely will not be cheap, even though Everton need to sell this summer, because Chelsea are not going to be the only club looking at him in the summer. He’s going to cost a fortune, but I personally hope he stays at Everton because I think they badly need him.

“But there are very few clubs in world football that would not want to buy Jarrad Branthwaite, he could be that good.”

MENDES SUGGESTS BOSS –

Jorge Mendes has put Porto head coach Sergio Conceicao forward as a possible Chelsea replacement for Mauricio Pochettino

CHELSEA will be searching the globe in hope that they can bring in a new manager quickly in order to get the club back in the hunt for Champions League football next season, and maybe a trophy too.

Former Brighton boss Roberto DeZerbi has been tipped to be the man to replace Pochettino at Chelsea, but the likes of Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank and even Jose Mourinho have all been linked with a move to London.

But according to a report from The Mirror, it has suggested to the American that Conceicao would be a good option to appoint as the next Blues boss.

Conceicao, 49, took charge of Porto seven years ago and is contracted to the club until 2028. The former Portugal player has won three league titles as the club’s manager and lifted the Taca de Portugal on three occasions, too. He has also been linked with the AC Milan job this summer.

DURAN AGENT MAKES CLAIM

The agent of Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in the forward.

Despite the fact that CHELSEA have no manager right now after they just decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino – he board will still look to get some transfer deals done whether a new coach is at the club or not.

Sky Sports News reported Chelsea’s desire to sign the Villa striker in the January transfer window and were looking to reignite their interest in the Villa star once that transfer window opened up.

But despite the fact that Pochettino is no longer boss of the club – Duran’s agent Jonathan Herrera says the interest remains and he is fully expecting an offer to be made in the next few months.

“He is a player who has a contract with Aston Villa, he ended up doing very well and the coach is counting on him,” Herrera told El VBar Caracol.

“It is a club that, having got into the Champions League is a great opportunity, but we know he wants to play, he wants to go out and play, we are going to see. Now the market is opening up, the club is looking at some options and so are we.

“The interest has always been there. The fact that Pochettino continues or leaves the club [shouldn’t affect], the one who want him in the end is the club.

“He is a player that if they change coach or not, we will see what happens, but there has always been interest. Let’s see how we can handle it and make sure Aston Villa are ready.”
