“I think they will make these two signings” – Fabrizio speaks on Chelsea’s summer plans

Despite the fact that Chelsea does not yet have a manager, the team is moving forward with its preparations for another hectic transfer window.

Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over two years ago, the Blues have been able to spend freely. With the signings of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, they have twice broken the British transfer record.

After Thiago Silva left, Chelsea is rumored to be interested in adding a center back, a striker, and potentially a left back, depending on what happens with Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella.

Despite his excellent play, Trevoh Chalobah’s future is very much in doubt, thus Silva might not be the only center defender departing Stamford Bridge. and his contract has four years remaining on it.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano believes Chelsea will sign two centre backs this summer, with Chalobah having to be sold for Financial Fair Play reasons.

It would a real shame to see the 24-year-old leave the club, particularly as it won’t be down to footballing reasons, and he has certainly proven he is more than capable of being a valuable member of the Chelsea squad.
