Players agent announces Chelsea are close in announcing Enzo Maresca second summer signing
Pedro Lima’s agent has confirmed that the Brazilian is close to signing with Chelsea.
Although the CHELSEA board has been busy in the last few transfer windows, adding a number of players for the future, they are adhering to their transfer philosophy even if they need to buy seasoned stars.
After the 17-year-old and the Blues were linked recently, Globo Esporte provided some intriguing updates on the player’s status. They stated that Sport Recife has “official offers” for his transfer in hand and that Chelsea is among the clubs interested in him.
Today the player’s agent Renato Guimaraes has openly spoken in detail about the move, revealing how close it is to being done.
According to the representative, things are very close in on the personal terms side of things. One can only assume therefore that the club have a vague understanding of the shape of a deal on their side too.
“There has been progress in the negotiations, but it’s not over yet,” Guimaraes said in quotes picked up by Brazilian source Globo Esporte.
“The salary part is settled, but there are still some clauses to be defined in the contract, some bonuses.”
