Jhon Duran, a striker for Aston Villa, is still wanted by Chelsea; this is despite Benjamin Sesko’s decision to stay with RB Leipzig.
It is well known that Chelsea wants to add a striker to their roster, as the Blues are currently being linked to several strikers.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Jhon Duran is eager to move from Villa Park to Stamford Bridge and Chelsea is now gaining ground on him.
Fabrizio Romano stated: “Chelsea keep working on Jhon Duran deal, not the only name but the most concrete option after new direct contacts also on Wednesday.
“Duran wants Chelsea — but all parties including Aston Villa and player side are still discussing terms of the deal. Nothing done yet.”
Interestingly, Chelsea will be playing in the Europa Conference League next season, while Aston Villa play a rare Champions League football.
