“I want to leave” “Am available for transfer” – €80m Chelsea target send transfer message to Enzo Maresca
Chelsea may be interested in signing Kvaratskhelia, a mega star at Napoli who has submitted a transfer request to leave the Italian champions this summer, according to credible reports.
Premier League teams have reportedly expressed interest in Kvaratskhelia, according to Fabrizo Romano. However, Chelsea—the only English team he specifically mentioned in his report—will not be participating in the Champions League next season, which presents a challenge.
After a terrible championship defense that saw them not only fail to defend the Scudetto but also finish in mid-table, the attacker’s father and agency have voiced their desire for the player to depart the Serie A club this summer.
Mamuka Jugeli, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, said: “I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli
“We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League.”
His father, Badri, added: I don’t want my son to stay at Napoli. They changed three coaches last season, and it’s hard to play in a similar situation.”
The Napoli board, however, responded warmly to the remarks and emphasized that Kvaratskhelia is not for sale.
“With reference to statements by Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, and his father Badri, Napoli reiterates that the player has a three-year contract with the club,” Napoli posted on social media.
“Kvaratskhelia is not on the market. It is not the agents or fathers who decide on the future of a player under contract but Napoli!!! End of story.”
