“I played against him, he’s a very dangerous player” “He will come good for Enzo Maresca at Chelsea” – Joe Hart shares honest opinion on 23-years-old Chelsea star

Joe Hart recently reminisced about his time at Shakhtar Donetsk playing against Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea.

Mykhailo Mudryk’s first 18 months as a Chelsea player are now over. However, it’s reasonable to assume that the £89 million signing from Shakhtar Donetsk (BBC) still has a lot to prove.

When you watch the 23-year-old winger play, his final product is so inconsistent that he is the epitome of raw.

In his 58 Blues games to date, he has only managed seven goals and four assists.

Joe Hart’s assessment of the Chelsea attacker

Joe Hart, who recently announced his retirement from football, faced Mudryk in the 2022 Champions League group stages when Celtic played Shakhtar Donetsk.

Even though he is still quite confident about his future at Stamford Bridge, he has noted that the speedy left-winger is a serious threat.

When discussing Mudryk on BBC’s coverage of Slovakia vs Ukraine (21 June), Hart said: “There is a huge talent in him. I played against him when he was high on confidence at Shakhtar and they were a pretty average team being honest and we played well against them, but he was such a threat the whole game and smashed two past me over two legs.

“I was really excited when he came to the Premier League, I was like watch this guy. He’s still young and Chelsea is a bit of a difficult club to shine but when they do find their feet, and if he is one of the wingers when they do find their feet, who can shine in that team, I’m excited to see him.”
