Estevao Willian, a Brazilian sensation from Palmeiras, has been acquired by Chelsea.
Willian, who turns 18 in 2025, will officially join Chelsea, the club said today.
The Chelsea youngster has received praise from Neymar, who believes he will become a star in the future.
“Future star? I think Estevao of Palmeiras is a big talent that is surging in Brazilian football,” Neymar told TNT, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“I think he will be a genius!”
Estevao Willian has been hailed as the best Brazilian-born player since Neymar, by World Cup winner Branco.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve had these kids there and Brazil has a spectacular generation,” Branco told Canal WAMO.
“Brazil for 2026 will arrive very strong, they’ll arrive with strength, speed and quality.
“Estevao Willian, for me, with all due respect to the others, this is something serious, something that I’ve never said and I’m going to say – since Neymar, he is the greatest player I’ve seen born in Brazil.
“This is my opinion, you’ve seen him close, you know. This is Brazil, they’re all spectacular but this boy, his ceiling is a bit higher.”
